I still have issues with EV battery weight! The Tesla is actually light, as EVs go, but at 1919kg it is still a heavy thing. My Co Pilot's AMG C43 weighs 1610kg.
I take your point, but EVs ARE getting lighter. The current Tesla Model 3 4WD Long Range is 1847kg and the 2WD version 1735kg - not a huge amount more than the AMG C43. I expect the next gen Model 3 (Project Highland) will be even lighter.
Schlepping 600kg of dead weight round with you is NOT Green, sorry. It is a waste of energy.
Depends somewhat on where the energy comes from. Mine comes mainly from the sun in summer and cheap overnight wind during winter. Where do fossil fuels come from?
