It is getting better, but still out of reach for a great many people, and the current second hand market is fetching inflated sums due to the shortage of new vehicles

New cars will be out of reach for a great many people generally. Certainly buying a new Morgan will be. Despite this nearly 2m new cars were registered last year and the average saloon cost £37k - so some people are managing it.
