Once EV's reach critical mass home charging will be taxed.
Would it be a stretch to conclude that that's the main reason the government has pushed the installation of Smart meters at a cost of several billion £'s ?
As a side note - after a six month long dispute with my energy supplier and the energy Ombudsman (who were totally useless) It's been agreed that my Smart meter has been over-reading by 53% since it was installed.
Best not let the media get hold of that one - there will be a stampede to energy suppliers!
