Reading this thread and the Mail report makes me so glad I exited EV ownership when I did: in July 2022 I sold the Tesla M3 LR for about £3,000 less than I paid for it 12 months previously and with 10,000 miles run.

I begin to think that the motoring public has begun to realise that the claim, made by many, that "EVs are the answer" has no clothes.
EVs are an option as an urban/suburban runabout for those with off street parking and for people who view cars as just another appliance.
But for petrolheads who enjoy driving, for those that pound the motorways on company business and those that want to tour the country away from the urban sprawl they are not an option.

The Net Zero apostles thought the motorists would be easy converts, but they are not. There are many, many other realistic/viable targets, but they are much harder and much more costly to convert.
