I would definitely add my Corsa to the list (petrol 45mpg), and partners Hyundai i30 (diesel 55+mpg and 15yrs old).
However, once I've paid for my Mog (early next year) I'm probably going to swap the Corsa for an old, rust prone, uneconomic MGB GT. More fun to drive, cheaper to fix and reduced insurance/tax.
If I wanted to go for a second hand EV for a comparable price (sub £5K) I'd be looking at a old Nissan Leaf with a sub 50mile range, so impossible to get to work and back.....
