I helicoil the exhaust stud threads on my heads as a matter of course. I use M8 stainless grub screws with a small hex in the end - use a small hex key to stop the stud turning when tightening everything up.

Agreed - I reckon I can do it quicker than trying to change the fan belt on my Corsa.......

The replacement studs I have are the same style, although 5/16" UNC
