Leads soldered on, and bulbs packed with copper tape and wedged in the holes! All working as they should.

Annoyingly, there does seem to be a UK shortage of 4.7mm bullet crimp connectors, Can get my usual type for love nor money, and don't like the brass solder/crimp type....
