I made a mistake that necessitated the replacement of the throttle cable. I replaced a broken motor mount, which raised the left side of the engine and failed to notice that it resulted in the throttle cable resting on one of the header tubes. This caused both the inner and outer sleeves of the cable to melt. When I removed the old cable, I found that whoever installed the twin Webers used a non Morgan cable assembly and had made a square hole in the firewall and pedal bracket to accommodate it. Simple fix was to make a small adapter out of some aluminum plate with the correct size hole. And, yes, I zip tied the new cable up and off the header...
