Managed to get the broken one welded and ground. Reassembled the mechanism. Now the handbrake works smile
Whilst the bar was out made a detailed measurement of all the parameters. A local engineering company can make me a couple of new ones. Will have them made over the winter months when I can spare an original one as a sample. Unless I find a source of new ones.
