The Weber 32/36 DGV in my 4/4 with 1600 Crossflow was getting a little sloppy. I could feel some movement in the shafts, and suspected I had an air leak.

I put in a replacement, but it wouldn't run correctly. I pulled it apart and found the float adjusted to around 40mm instead of 35mm. After careful adjustment I put it back together and the car runs beautifully!
