Why bother with taking off the wheels, I use a product called Dragons Breath wheel cleaner, spray on leave for 5 mins hose off. Cleans perfectly and leaves them bright and shiny. Cheaper than a scissor lift.
Just be careful what you use on stainless wheels. After polishing at the manufactory they are given a special finish to keep them bright.I tried Auto Glym wheel cleaner and it ruined the finish, leaving patchy marks that cannot be removed. Luckily it was on the inside of a wheel so I can live with it.
Ever since, I simply wipe down with WD40 !

I've been using Dragons Breath for a couple of years and no sign of any damage, still bright and shiny.
Can you confirm that is actually on stainless wheels please?
