Having er hum, adjusted the spokes slightly on the two rear wheels of my Roadster and suffered the consequences of damaged seals/deflated tyres, I can categorically say that your damage is not consistent with the localised damage mine suffered - see below after prep for replacement sealant. As Jon suggests its certainly been caused by clumsy tyre replacement. Although I was able to repair the damage on both of mine, that long stretch would need to be completely dug out and even then may need complete renewal as I note the edges have been damaged as well. Worth calling MWS for advice noting they can supply the correct Dowsil sealant. There are videos on complete seal replacement but its a big task removing old sealant first. Again MWS can perform this service.
