This illustrates the danger of ignoring the requirement that a replacement master cylinder be fitted. An interesting question is how many of the CX models have been “fixed” to date under the programme to remedy the situation since the beginning of September. There is no update of any kind that I can see in the current edition of Miscellany but I suppose the when the new Morganeer for November is available there will be an update based on inquiries made by or on behalf of MSCC.
I am surprised that there has not been further comment on my costings but note most appear to agree that MMC has rights of recovery against the third party (solvent) supplier of the defective components and hence will avoid the financial debacle feared by many.
I do not regret the purchase of my Plusfour but I do reiterate my comments about the failure of MMC to be frank and open.
