A bit of shock factor for a Thursday morning. Checked about a trade in against another sports car. Now, I have to say I didn’t expect much and my enquiry was exploratory. Not many dealers will want a Morgan, not because they aren’t great cars, but because they may be seen as limited appeal and not commonly used as daily drivers. So we have to accept they are a not massively appealing as a p/x. Nevertheless for a car which cost £76k in July 2020 with 3.5k on the clock, I was offered…… £52k. And one of the main reasons I went for a Morgan was because they held their price so well 🤔. I guess it stacks up because there are some advertised in high 50’s / £60k and dealers have to make a profit, but I can’t help thinking the recall may have affected re-sale prices. So, it looks like I will be Morganeering for quite some time, which let’s be honest isn’t really a bad thing, is it?
