I was musing over a cup of coffee about the Covid pandemic when I found myself talking to some of our household appliances.
The hoover was very unsympathetic...told me to suck it up
But the fan was more optimistic and said it would soon all blow over
I didn't mention anything to the freezer as she is acting cold and distant
Nor did I say anything to the washing machine as he puts a different spin on everything
The iron calmed me down, saying everything would be fine - no situation is too pressing
The waste bin called the whole Covid thing rubbish, while the light switch thought it all a bit of a turn off
And the kettle got a bit steamed up about things
As for the toilet, it looked a bit flushed and told me to sit down
And the door knob told me to get a grip - as did the pliers when I looked in my toolbox
Finally the front door said I must be unhinged
And the curtains told me - well, what else? - to pull myself together!
