Out of fostering good Welsh/Breton relations I ordered a glass of his special brew. A half pint. A totally opaque liquid in it more like soup than cider. So, like a bush tucker trial I drank some. Hmmmmm a distinctly unique nose, taste that didn’t roll over the tongue, almost breathtaking in effect. I have a strong stomach but declined testing it’s limit.. As soon as an opportunity to dispose of it occurred it went into a pot plant. I had a silly grin, or was it a rictus effect? Over the next few days I monitored the plant. No ill effects. Maybe it was artificial?
What did surprise me though was his cheap red wine. Very cheap at less than £1 a bottle. I bought some to cook with. Tasted it and bought more to drink.
