Five oktas of cu and a light northerly. The temp above zero. A heap of work on the computer. Can computer files bulge? If they could mine would. The Kifox has not flown for two weeks and the Mog has not been out of pyjamas (dust cover) for a week. Work or play? The work ethic side of my brain now engages in an appalling row with the wtf side of my brain. A détente cordiale is negotiated and so I work until 12 then release the mog from the cover, slide back the complaining and ancient steel garage doors and we're off, top down, side windows in place.

The airfield is buzzing and miraculously there are no planes to push around in order to release the Kitfox from its lair. It's an aimless flight, heading northish and then westish following the Czech border to the town of Retz. We circle the lovely town square and monastery (been in there, filming) , find an open space to practice steep turns and then an hour later we are lining up on 07, rolling the mains on for a wheel landing and holding the tail up until it runs out of effect and plonks down of its own accord. This makes the pilot look better than he is but nobody notices. They always notice when I turn one landing into several.

The hangar remains eerily empty so the Kitfox is soon wearing its pyjamas and, expecting the worst, mog and me join Friday afternoon traffic heading into the city. A little stop and go traffic but nothing to ruin the mood and mog gets back into pyjamas and a promise of a bath and rub down very soon.

If you are feeling nauseous please turn off now. Dionysius is receiving a libation, the fire will be lit and the lovely swmbo will soon walk through the door. Some days are a bit better than others.
