All of which takes me back to a time before the technological juncture of phone and camera, which was brought to mind by recent tales of those fortunate enough to be travelling in foreign parts at the moment, sending me off in search of an associated pic I took circa 2003 while visiting Pompeii. Having arrived early before the site was opened to ease finding a place to park and hopefully avoid the heat of later in the day and the build up of tourists, we found a spot near the front of the the souvenir shop entrance, we were approached by one of the bus drivers in the parking area who shared pics he carried in his bus of the classics he had owned over the years. He could not have been more pleased than when I asked if he wanted to sit in the Mog to have his picture taken.... So if you are ever at that car/bus park in your Morgan and it attracts a bus driver, it might just be Tortora Alfonso... I do not know if Italians put their surname first, so his "Christian" name may be Alfonso.. Whatever.. I just thought to post the pic I took at the time, though like me, I suspect he may not look quite as he did back then.. laugh2

He really looks at home in your Morgan, Luddite. Almost as if he's about to zoom off into the sunset.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Quicksilver, it seems everyone who sits in a Morgan can feel very comfortable, till they hit the first pot hole...? laugh2

Nick, the case came with my Morgan as during it`s nut and bolt rebuild circa Y2K it was configured as a tourer with trays built into the shelf over the axle and a larger tool box mounted on the bulkhead. The lockable case was created in fibreglass, lined with leather matching the trim of the Mog`s interior, it could be mounted to the rack with stainless P clips to deter anyone from making off with it when occasionally left in car parks in foreign parts, though fully loaded, being painted and polished to match the Mog and with Morgan script, it was less than fun to negotiate around hotel corridors etc. etc. etc. when younger, these days I would think best to have a fitted soft bag to fit inside it thus easier to remove and carry wherever..

Richard, lovely Riley in the article, seems various shades of blue are very on trend these days, and causes me to wonder if the colour was original to the car...if so I suspect it would have stood out amongst others in it`s day as it seems to have done during the celebrations..Thanks for posting.
