Toucan

It does have an Italian look but it was designed in-house at Daimler..... That engine is a cracking motor, 2.5L V8 and 140 hp..... Apparently it can easily be tuned to give pretty decent power... It was designed by Edward Turner who was chief designer for Triumph motorcycles and responsible for the speed-twin and Bonneville engines.... The V8 was his last great design. I know that engine choice is decided by lots of issues such as long term availability etc (and that engine was on a corporate slippery slope due to it clashing with the straight six when Jaguar took over) but I always thought a warmed up version of that motor might have been a fine choice when Morgan was planning the +8...... Only real downside was an extra 30kg due to the iron block, but I'm sure that wouldn't have been an insurmountable problem.

When you see one that's been kept in good condition they're a very pretty car.
