Oh yes! 830 miles since Wednesday evening, and now in Neffies near the South of France. I wanted to get a picture under the Millau Viaduct today, but spent an hour retracing our steps after road blocks for the Tour de France! Duh! Should have checked where it and we were going today! Eventually had to take the autoroute and go over the viaduct - very impressive, but not so good for photo opportunities. Grounded twice today, once on a 30kph bump in Roujan, which was quite ridiculous in its steepness, and at the start this morning coming out of our overnight stop. Fortunately nothing too serious, but I'd like another cm of ground clearance.
Again 37C+, so roof up and side screens off to keep swmbohappy. She has been remarkably stoical, but I know she'll never do a trip like this again. It's a bit like the time I took her on the boat down from Oldbury to Cardiff and it kicked up rough just after Portishead. You can't turn back, you have to keep going, but somehow I know she won't want to do it again swear
Shame, as the Roadster has been fantastic. Very impressed with it as a long distance cruiser on minor roads, and if it had air con it would be perfect. (Never thought I'd say that!)
