Just got back from a rather interesting trip to Jaguar Landrovers Research and Development place at Gaydon. Wow.....what a fascinating place but sadly no photos as cameras are strictly forbidden.
Lots of vehicles covered in black and white dazzle wrap and odd bits of foam but three real areas of interest. Rooms full of the latest state of art 3D printers....all churning away. Some very elaborate prototype test structures were on show, including a complete V6 with ancillaries etc.
A huge testing area, probably the size of the Morgan factory, with rigs testing everything from chassis rigidity to dummy heads hitting dashboards.
And the most surprising of all, Audis, Mercs, BMW i3 and i8, Porsche, Latest Volvo hybrid SUV, Mini Clubmans etc being dismantled, every bit photographed, analysed and tested!

Finished off with lunch in a rather nice pub just down the road, The Antelope at Lighthorne.
