The adaption of the sewing machine is a work of art indeed..Nice story too John, I should part with my Morgan but never seem to manage to get round to it..

I suspect the "Singers" white wires and red brake drums also suit modern tastes ..? Oh well at least someone is enjoying looking after it and making use of it in the process.. When younger I might have done the same sort of stuff myself, but as I aged I began to favour patina just a tad more than prefect finishes... up to a point. smile

Back on topic.. Given the weather enjoyed here of late I fired up the old Mog and took it a run round the block on my usual interesting route. I only managed circa 600 miles in it last year with a couple of jaunts in between then and now, but it fired up first time and ran as well as it ever did It still feels as vintage as I wanted it to be when I bought it, but not so vintage that it can not feel and sound like a race car, if one decides to indulge in a rapid overtake... I guess in truth I feel more vintage than the Morgan.. Just pleased to be able to still get in and out of it and enjoy an occasional run in the sun... oldgit
