Richard we won't go later as the boss wouldn't settle and it was only a short trip. We can do it another time.

What is happening to the Ambulance service notworthy my partner slipped on the stairs in December breaking both long bones at the ankle. Upon phoning 999 ambulance centre said "someone" would phone me back in 4 hrs 40 mins to assess swear Fortunately a friend lives close by and we managed to get her up and onto a chair and lift her out to his car and transport her to A&E where the service was excellent. This is not an isolated incident, as a police officer it almost standard procedure to "scoop and run" due to the predicted long wait for ambulance. On one occasion I arrived at A&E just as the patient stopped breathing, fortunately a crash team were waiting and all ended well.

Hope everything is ok John.
