As John V6 mentions a great day out with FolkMog to Forncett Industrial steam museum between Diss and Norwich. A small museum jam packed with some surprisingly large steam engines. Many thanks to Rob and Ali for organising the visit with the bonus of an in-house buffet lunch.

Video here showing the twin cylinder engine coupled to water pumps rescued from Tower Bridge following conversion to its current electric operation. The pumps restored the tall head of water that powered the bridge opening mechanism, guaranteeing one open/close cycle without the engine.

The original steam engine used to prime the opening mechanism remains there.
