This afternoon Mrs W and I visited Hartley Mauditt, home to a delightful church and a picturesque pond containing an unfeasibly large amount of fish. We returned through some lovely villages and skirted RAF Oakhanger.

A medieval abandoned village and an operational RAF base that we didn't know existed until today, even though they are within 10 miles of where we live. It just shows you don't need to go far to find somewhere new.
