Sounds like a great trip Hannes. Being able to put the car on the train for part of the trip is a good way of extending your touring range.

Sad to report that in France the Auto-Train service is to be wound up at the end of this year. Apparently it loses about € 6 million a year, yet it always seems to be fully booked up from early on. Maybe they could try upping the price a little...
