I think I was on that 2% all last week.

In fairness to motorists, the cyclists were treated very respectfully and cars would only pass if there was significant amount of room to do so. I saw no close calls, or dangerous maneovures. However, when you are on B roads, and there is a large group of lycra clad ninnies riding three abreast, it makes an overtake virtually impossible hence huge queues dragging along at a snails pace.

Respect works both ways - most of the slow moving vehicles in the area (buses, tractors etc) seemed happy to pull in and let the queues clear, but not the cyclists.

I also followed the highway code and only passed when it was very safe to do so, although my Mrs had to keep reminding me that we were in an open top vehicle and people can hear me more easily. Still, it's always good to learn new words. :} :}
