Yes, John, it was Putnam Park in Redding, CT. A Revolutionary War encampment. Nice place for a hike. They do war reenactments there too.

Richard, the color is original. I believe, according to MMC, it is Light Orange. I believe there has been some repaint in various areas so the color varies. With the lighting just right you can see a hint of orange.
