Not exactly driven but started the engine for the first time in 4 weeks after rebuilding the top end with gas flowed head porting and new fast road cams.

First time I've done valve timing on a twin cam but all went well and amazingly she started almost immediately after only about 2 seconds of cranking.

When fitting new cams, it's recommended that you don't let it tick over but maintain about 2500 rpm for 20 minutes to make sure the top end gets good oil flow during initial break in.

20 minutes sitting still with a steady throttle foot seems like an eternity.

Anyway, no leaks so I'll wait for it to go cold and check everything over. Then try out another cold start and see how it ticks over.

Beats doing jigsaw puzzles.
