As we age we heal and recover more slowly.

Caroline has had both hip joints replaced and an ACL replaced in the last 10 years. Each time she paid for a private sports physio (Ex Army Physio) to cause her pain and suffering in order to build up strength so she could ride her horse. Unfortunately the NHS Physios don't expect people of our age to be willing to make the effort to regain full fitness.


NHS physio is just a token gesture. I've had three sessions, each two weeks apart and the next one in a month. The exercises in the gym are great but of absolutely no use unless done on a regular basis. I have a series of exercises to do at home which helps with flexibility but not really with muscle strength. Looks like the only option is to go privately.
