Ray - unfortunately, the BMW has prooved that it's as fast at depreciating as it is at the traffic lights grand prix, meanwhile, the Mog will probably return very close to what I paid for it so I couldn't defend it on that one.

Dave - next time, and there will be a next time, I'd still have one without the spare wheel as it's a bit lighter and better when giving it the beans! Thanks for your thoughts, and I'm glad I've got lots of good chums through Mog ownership and TM in particular. So you'll all just have to put with me...

Kev - you're right, I still feel I've sold my child and if South port were closer I'd be driving up there every day just to look at it through the glass. It sticks in my throat every time I just pop over to the garage.

Mark - it's strange isn't it. 3 years ago we bought a Freelander 2 as we were doing some long distance stuff regularly and were supposed to trade in the 12 year old Freelander with about 145k on the clock as we've had it since it was 6 months old and used it so much for work and carting stuff around for the properties it was like our van. On the morning we were doing the swap we decded we couldn't part ex it so kept it as well for doing all the rough stuff. The other project finished and the F2 just kept being parked on the drive as it wasn't worth choking it up for local mileage so we then sold it and the F1 is still with us at 154k as we just love it to bits. It somkes a bit from time to time on start up and doesn't look quite it's best but we just love it.

Thanks Neil and Richard - that's good to know. Ricahrd, as you say, circumstances just dictate things at times and the tough decision has to be taken.

David - thank you. Thanks again for your fettling - certainly wasn't bad - and mucha aprpeciated. It was a nice way to spend a couple of hours too.

Cheers chaps, all much appreciated. thumbs
