I assumed it was a mistake, and posted (and immediately deleted when I saw this) a critical rant.

But this still in my view shows a lack of what we call "Outside-In" thinking.

MMC might think that having the numbers in different positions on every grille is a cool design feature, but they might not have thought this through.

Nearly every single person who sees these cars will not be aware of this. They will take one look at possibly the single most evident design feature of the car and think to themselves "Morgan can't even paint the numbers straight on the car"

What to the insider says "Cool and Quirky" may well look to the outsider as "Slapdash and Incompetent". And they are the ones with the money.

It's the Discovery number plate all over again.
