When you mentioned a Lagonda V12 I expected to see a vintage car such as the one similar to the circa 1938(?) V12 I saw at the LeMans Classic a few years back. I think Stanley Man may have had it for sale at some time in it`s history..What a beauty it was/is..

Jensen 541 George with the Austin 4 litre D series truck engine. I owned a later CV8 with the Chrysler 383 (6.3 litre) engine and maybe the first to have four wheel disc brakes. That took the skin off my head many times when exiting from under the huge bonnet as it had a significant beak (just below badge).

It was as a passenger in a friend's 541 that a Jensen nearly did for me though. A supermarket delivery truck on the A3 pulled up short when a dog ran across the road. The indifferent drum brakes on the Jensen and lack of underun protection on the truck allowed us to slide under its tailgate, ripping chunks of fibreglass off the top of bonnet before we stopped just as windscreen cracked in front of my face!
