And that gentleman is exactly why I decided to retire early - the day I stopped enjoying work I would retire and at 63 that's what happened I told him the truth. I had six weeks leave in hand and handed in the compulsory four weeks notice on the Tuesday and left on the Wednesday with 6 weeks paid leave amid considerable protestations. Never looked back once.
Just miss close colleagues banter but meet up with one's that count but not the idiot boss who was a total bloody crawling yes man of the new genre. Good Luck to him as he will need it.
