One of my clients in Sydney was a very large Jewish nursing home. It is large enough that it even has a coffee shop inernally that serves snacks and light meals. I was overseeing the installation of network cabling and one of the cabling guys was with me in the coffee shop and asked for a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. He was politely told that ham was not availble. I was later told that someone asks for ham every so often and nobody takes offence.

Other than ham no meat can be served together with any milk product by a kosher kitchen.
